The CPT School offers a certification course for individuals interested in working as personal trainers in various fitness environments. Your instructor, Jimmy Lawrence, MS, is an adjunct professor of exercise science. To learn more about his background, please click HERE. Jimmy is partnered with the American Council on Exercise (ACE), which provides high-quality education and training. This course prepares students for the ACE-CPT exam and allows them to become certified personal trainers in the fast-growing fitness industry.

Your instructor uses various teaching methods in their classes to ensure that everybody feels welcome, engaged, and excited to learn. Jimmy also does his best to provide students with additional help and support to pass the ACE CPT exam.

 

This is a college-level course offered every semester (Fall and Spring). It is taught synchronously (live) and remotely using Zoom. Anyone interested in working in the fitness industry, no matter their previous background, is encouraged to enroll.

ACE Exam Voucher: The exam voucher must be purchased on the ACE STUDENT portal. The exam voucher price is currently $399 when you create your ACE account. The exam voucher is NOT required to register for the CPT School ACE course.

**Textbook can be purchased on ACE website and is HIGHLY recommended for this course. ACE states; "please note that ACE study materials are optional. Purchasing ACE study materials is not required to register for or pass an ACE certification exam. Candidates do themselves and the [fitness] industry a disservice if they believe that studying an ACE manual alone is a comprehensive resource for their health and fitness knowledge and their career". Therefore, the CPT School goes above and beyond the ACE manual.
